My sushi trip was nice. Edo Sushi has great California rolls, which I got because only Olive and Sesame has the Baltimore Roll (roe, crabmeat, Old Bay).
I got productive shopping done-- Jacques is almost completely recovered from his respiratory illness, but has taken to scratching the hell out of his back. He's got an anti-mohawk-- that is, he has a completely bald strip on his back that's all raw and Resident Evil-y from constantly being scratched. It could be a stress reaction. It could be a reaction to his bedding. It could be his diet. It could be mites. Who knows? It's neverending diagnosis fun with this mouse. I went to buy blue recycled-paper bedding that has the consistency of cotton candy, as it apparently has the least amount of aromatic oils that cause irritation. I bought a bottle of rodent vitamins with which to douse his food, so his skin will heal better. I'm lowering the amount of protein in his diet. I got mite and flea spray. And, since it has been speculated that perhaps the reason he's taken to sleeping in his food bowl is because he likes the shape, I got him an additional bowl that will remain empty. I love the little bastard, but he's cost me well over $200 at this point.
While I was out, I also bought some room-improvement things. I know I had a rough patch this winter and then apathy set in, but I've reached my tolerance point with the accumulated clutter. I've set aside Wednesday night to start cleaning. I bought a yard and a half of vibrant blue sari fabric with which to cover my bookshelves and set up my altar. I also bought two 7' garlands of fake leaves and flowers to wind arround my windowsill. I need to break down boxes for recycling. I need to organize my bookshelves, put away my laundry, and clean underneath my bed. So yes, Wednesday will be my Buffy marathon / Spring Cleaning day.
I am now completely wiped. I'm going to drag myself into the shower and hopefully pass out a little early.
ETA:: Ahaha. Ha. Aha. Thanks, I needed that.
