Pretty trees, part 1.

I just slept for fifteen hours. No, really. I feel all woozy and puffy.

At any rate, my weekend thus far has been good-- my friends are very good at lightening my mood when I start moping and feeling sorry for myself. There have been numerous impressions of the TimBot5000, ANTM babble, watching of Dane Cook DVDs, chatter until 3:30am, and weird recollections of the things Ashley does with her seafood. Plus, now I have stargazer lillies, which, as far as I'm concerned, is a complete panacea.

Yesterday, Anna and I went to DC to catch the Sakura peak bloom. I'll be back in DC next weekend, but here are pictures, part 1.

Pretty trees. I think this might be a part of my new layout.

A shot of tourists gathered beneath a pink canopy of blossoms.

What's that, you say? A giant cock rising into the mists?

It's a dome-shaped structure of some sort!

And Anna, wondering what planet I may be from.

I will cheerily eat your children.

Disregarding the fact that I look like a compete tool, I like this picture.

We had dinner at Thaiphoon in Dupont, where I had pad see ew and a gigantic mojito.
Anna's vegetarian curry dish was better, however.
She drank four glasses of water.

Anna, deep in thought.
It's a rare occurrence, so I wanted to capture it for posterity.

Smiles all around.

We also saw the pretty morpho butterflies at the Smithsonian, and I said hi to the T-rex. I really do like being in DC. I need to do research to see if/where the Baltimore Metro overlaps with DC Metro, so I can go more often. I want to spend more time in Dupont-- I felt a sense of belonging there. Hmm.
