Friday Afternoon List Post
1. I do feel better today than I did yesterday, both physically and emotionally. When I got home last night, I had myself a nice, long, cathartic cry before I drew myself a bath and sank into it. I tilted my head back so only my nose was poking out of the water and lie still until I began to calm. I watched a little tv, made myself breakfast for dinner, had an honest-to-goodness constructive conversation with my mother, and went to bed early. This morning, I felt clearer, looser. I think flushing my kidneys out with herbs and water actually worked, though I am nearly out of cranberry and uva ursi. Time to restock.

3. Speaking of baths and restocking, my stash of goodies is woefully low. I've already contacted my super-secret Lush goddess in hopes of procuring some more Avobath, but I've been thinking of trying some other companies, as well. I've heard so-so things about Bombshell Bath. Their ballistics are smaller than Lush ones, and I haven't heard of any coloring. Still, they have such a wide selection of Autumn-themed bath products that I feel compelled to give them a try. The other company I'm looking at is Fantasy Bath, which promises to have some intensely-colored ballistics, and that's always a selling point for me. (Insert minor whinge about how FeMaledictions would own my wallet if sCara made pretty gothic bath ballistics.)
4. How am I going to pay for this decadence, you ask? My old boss would like me to come in on the weekends for a few weeks to get one of his accounts back in shape. Said boss has deep pockets. Looks like I'm going back to work for the mob, if only temporarily.

6. I have a pretty good weekend ahead. My Annapolis girls are abducting me tonight for an evening of take-out, funny movies, and pajamas. This is direly needed. Tomorrow, Annabean and I are headed to DC to look at the pretty trees. The weather promises to be every bit as gorgeous as it is today, so I absolutely cannot wait. I'll also be in DC again next weekend to meet up with
tennyo and belladonnastrap. brapolitics, what's the best way to meet up with you? Would you also like to partake in the seeing-of-pretty-trees?7. I'm about to send a fan package to my favorite author-- Elizabeth Hand. I am a massive dork. Of course, she is also very warm with her fans, and an amazing author to boot, so I think it's well deserved.
