Strange synchronicities of the past 48 hours.

Two nights ago, I received a gift. It was a book about meeting someone on the road and not believing him when he claims that he's God.

Last night, I received a gift. It was a book about a truck driver who picks up a hitch-hiker on the road who claims that she's God. And she might be.

The latter book was a 1st edition of Sati, by Christopher Pike, which was one of my favorite books when I was growing up. After swing dancing last night, a bunch of friends met up at Towson Diner, and Ariel and I reminisced about old high school friends. I remembered that Dane Edidi had borrowed my first copy of Sati, and I never got it back. I miss Dane-- the only Isis-worshipping Southern Baptist I'd ever met.

This morning, I checked my email. I'd gotten an invitation from Dane to come to his latest cabaret show.
