Who has the last widescreen copy of Serenity in all of northern Baltimore? Oh yes, it's me. The movie was sold out at Target, Best Buy, Sam Goody, Suncoast, and Barnes and Noble. The little voice in the back of my head keeps saying this is a good thing, because I want a sequel, dammit. I grabbed the last copy at FYE. So. Guess what I'll be doing tonight?

I'm very much looking forward to a quiet night at home. I'm going to make some dinner, locate my social security card, watch some movies, and prepare the last holiday presents for mailing. I need a little relaxation. The last few weeks have been so hurry hurry rush rush that I'm more than a little burnt out. I'm starting to get stress-sick. I need to take a night to take care of myself and drink lots of tea and have lemon curd with raspberries and generally take it all in.

But things are starting to come together. I'm calling the cable company to have internet installed in the week after the new year. I can't wait to upload pictures and make a new default icon and change my layout around. I bought everything for my room last night-- a purple striped bedspread cover, new sheets, a jeweltone pillow, a torchiere lamp, a rug, curtains. It will hopefully look nice, especially if I can work in elements of a warm red with all of the cool purples and blues.

Last night was spent with friends. bellybalt is in town, so Sky and I had dinner with him and Miss satikat who was looking all sorts of lovely. There were new people as well, and we all gelled as though we'd known each other before. On the minus side, I actually had a not-stellar experience at Sakura. Sky and I got sushi, and our food didn't come until everyone else was well into their meals. Fie on that. But there was lewd humor and drooling over pretty girls and lots of chatter, so it made up for it.

Anyhow, I'm at work, so I should get back to that. I have more to say, especially about Finding Serenity and my year-end retrospective thoughts, but that can wait 'til tomorrow.
