California needs good energy, y'all.

California's Legislature OKs Gay Marriage Bill.

However: "The bill, which would change California's legal definition of marriage from 'a civil contract between a man and a woman' to a 'civil contract between two persons,' now goes to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. He has signaled that he will veto it." The Governator has until October 9th to either veto or sign the bill. If he does neither, it will automatically pass into law, effective at the start of the new year.

I, for one, will be praying hard that it becomes law and everyone in California will get the chance to marry the person they love, regardless of gender.
