Free Will Astrology for the Week of June 30th
_______________
Mmmmhmm. Updating from work. I have nothing especially significant to say other than I've begun a healthier diet and started an exercise regime (!). Yes, I know. I've been far too down on myself as of late, and it's time to start regaining my balance. I cannot remain stagnant any longer-- it's time to begin feeling vital and healthy again. It's time to begin feeling happy and whole again. After all, if I can't be happy with myself, who else can be? I always say that you can't expect anyone else to care for you unless you care for yourself. It's time to take my own advice.
So, healthier foods. Multi-grain breads and minimal sugar and only eating when I'm hungry and *gasp* veggies. One snack a day, and a small one a that. Oh, and lots and lots of water. I'm sure that there will be times when I just can't resist that chocolate milkshake, but I will endeavor to make those times fewer and further between. I've started working on an elliptical bike, and I'm going to work my way up to 30 minutes a session. It's harder than I expected-- there's more resistance than there would be on an actual bike. It's times like this that I miss living in the city-- we had such beautiful places to ride, like Fort McHenry or around Federal Hill Park. Really, I'd enjoy regular biking much more, but alas, Richie Highway is kind of depressing. On top of that, tomorrow begins my first night working with a Yoga video. Begone, thighs of doom!
Hey, maybe if I lose 10 pounds, my breasts will magically shrink, as well. Here's to hoping, at least.
I'm looking forward to the weekend. Sunday, I'm having a joint party for my and my brothers' graduation. Monday, I'm hoping to spend the day in the Inner Harbor, browsing old familiar shops and perhaps spending a Barnes & Noble gift card. I want to smell the stargazer lillies at Cross Street Market and maybe buy a snowball on Light Street. I want to walk through Riverside Park and take setting notes for the chapter of my novel I'm working on.
I want to feel alive again.
