I gotta say, I'm really enjoying these holiday wishlist swaps (friends-locked filter thing), and figuring out what I can fill. So far, I've gotten five people covered for under $20.
But then, I realize that sometimes, God just hates me.
The plan for today was to activate my very first credit card and use it for two small online purchases. I want to make sure that they're things I can immediately pay off while I test the big, bad waters of building credit. So, both orders combined are less than $50. You'd think, therefore, with a $600 credit limit, that my available credit would therefore be somewhat higher than $550, yes? Well.
It's $460.
So, I called the bank. The one order posted brilliantly. The other? 5 identical charges of $23.20, all from the same company. Yet I only recieved one order receipt, and the company only shows one order for my account. Luckily, the customer service is not terrible, and they will be calling me in the morning once they've discovered what exactly went down. At the very least, I want my card re-credited for four of those charges.
What is up with me and bank drama? This is the kind of thing that makes me want to horde cash and never go to the bank again.
Also? BPAL has not yet contacted me about my missing payment. This makes me all kinds of more stressed out than I need to be. Grah.
