This is already a long day. I showed up at 8:30am for breakfast, and as a result, I didn't get any. You see, on our schedules, breakfast is listed from 8-9. They neglected to say that the *actual* hours are 7 - 8:30. So, in other words, half the staff was denied breakfast by the hoary old bitch at the counter, and the Res Life staff has to pay full price. Those denied? SOL. The lady I always talk to at the coffeeshop was cool, though. She groused along with me about said hoary old bitch and gave me a muffin for free, because according to her, tons get thrown out every day, anyhow.

And one of the administrative people whom I'm usually very close to has been incredibly snarky today, talking to the RAs like we're a bunch of five year olds rather than the competent staff we are. Honeybunny, I know you're stressed out. We are, too. And I didn't even get a plush 3 weeks off this summer. So this is my 'bitch, please' face. This is so unlike her.

I have super glue all over my fingers, but at least I have a half hour to eat today. Yay.

And, because I'm having mixed reactions about this subject, a poll:

Poll #337558 To LJ-cut or Not to LJ Cut

Do you LJ-cut comments about the day's Olympic ceremonies for those in later time zones?

No. It's news, and I'm posting my reaction.

No, I never thought about it, but I don't see any reason.
2(16.7%)
No, but I would if I were asked.
3(25.0%)
Yes, it's courtesy.

It's not a huge problem for me, but seeing as how I've been update at 12am USA EST anyhow, it seems like it shouldn't be a thing to worry about. Kvetch, fine, and I'll cut it. It's just a pain to LJ cut for two stinking sentences. Maybe I'll just surround those sentences with *OLYMPIC SPOILERS! HIDE YOUR VIRGIN EYES!* or something. Sorry, I'm snarky today. :)
