I am a blessed child of the universe

Tonight has been extraordinary.

Chris and I finished our RCRs ahead of schedule, and I was able to pop into the corner shop for some Butter Pecan ice cream just before it closed. The fireflies were out in full force tonight, lazily floating up from the grass, flashing green. The bunnies on campus are especially playful-- in pairs of two, they're playing tag, and sometimes leapfrog (it is infinitely amusing to watch one bunny repeatedly rush another bunny, only to have the rushee jump at the last second, to have the other one pass beneath his feet).

I've been watching borrowed tapes and doing late-night laundry. I was saying an evening devotion just as I went to pick up the last load. I happened to look up right as I finished, and an orange star shot across the sky.

I feel incredibly blessed.
