Guess whose computer is finally working? squee!
Compaq replaced the motherboard, which for the second time in three years had died. They also neglected to reinstall a new ethernet card, so I had to lug the sucker up stairs of doom where a nice lady in information services fixed the problem in exchange for a large coffee. Score.
And I just went on a mini-Amazon spree. I bought four books for under $30. This is quite exciting. Yeah for used books. I will be posting a review on the two pagan books that I got shortly. I did order The Second Circle and Sati, as well as another book that came highly recommended by
enfaith on practical magic. I left out the Guiley Encylcopedia for this time-- it can wait a little while.
There is a smallish kink in my plan to go to the ocean this Saturday. Apparently, I have to do checkouts Saturday, too. Until noon. So I will be leaving my residents a lamentful voicemail about how ohsobusy I am Saturday. Please a) sign up for Friday, b) sign up on Kim's sheet, or c) sign up for as early as humanly possible. Fingers crossed, I shouldn't have much of a problem.
Okay. Lunch and then research-mode. I'm so happy to have a working computer. Eeee.
