I have been quite bad about keeping up with my friendslist lately. I have my hands in a lot of pots at the moment, and I feel a bit spread thin.

First things first: I am entirely unsure if there's going to be a February update, and if there is, it may be very small. The reason for this is happy: I've been working on building relationships with local retailers. One retailer in Baltimore is doing a test balloon of wings on consignment (although she may be moving in a month or so). A second retailer in Ellicott City just bought a wide smattering of earrings to sell in her exquisitely-curated shop.

The first time I set foot in Vintage Bliss Boutique, it was like walking into a shop designed for me. All soft, dreamy colors. They carry Papaya and Tokyomilk and there's glitter and shabby chic everything everywhere. They also carry gorgeous flowy ethereal clothing. So I approached the owner and set up an appointment to see her. I specifically tailored many of the things that I made in the last couple of weeks to her color palette, and the result was she bought quite a lot of it. She bought practically the entire run of Effervescence earrings I had done for February, several experimental earrings, and Wanderlust earrings that I did in gold, opalescent green, and purple. She bought half of the new confectionery-hued painted oak leaf earrings that are not yet posted. And then I got a tentative order for things she'd like more of. Very exciting! I hope it is the beginning of a good working relationship.

I am going to try to put together some earring wardrobes in pretty spring tones, and some more golden lotus earrings, as I am *completely* out of those at present. I have some new wings, and I may put those up, too. I injured my finger last week, so I may not be able to tackle any more heavy wirework for another week or so.

While we were in Ellicott City, J & I stopped in a new-to-us store, Randy & Steve's General Store, on main street. FOODIE HEAVEN. They carry artisan baking mixes, spices, salts (truffle salt!), and housewares like candles and scented detergents. One detergent smelled exactly like fresh cut grass, and I *almost* bought it, but instead we got cream of crab soup and Stonewall Kitchen crêpe mix. I made crêpes this morning for breakfast-- lemon curd, lingonberry, and butter cinnamon. They were delicious.

As for the remainder of the day, J is out running errands, and then we're going to embark on the four-hour task that is dyeing my hair. I have six weeks' worth of roots to lighten, then the whole thing is getting redyed in SFX Virgin Pink, Deep Purple, and Joyride. I've been playing with the idea of adding in some turquoise stripes, but maybe next time. Actually, I'd love to do the whole thing turquoise, but blues can be so much less forgiving than purples in terms of lasting power.

The Enchanted Mirror is still working nicely. I like that I can write several posts in one evening, and then queue them for posting. Very convenient.

Okay! Time to start working on earring wardrobes. Spring ahoy!
