I've been posting less because I have been very, very busy. I have been hard at work on commissions for the last week. There's going to be a big mail-out of those on Friday. I tend to do all of my oxidizing in batches-- even with proper ventilation, there's just something about liver of sulfur (and silverblack) that makes me a bit queasy, and so I tend to do all the soaking at once and then I can polish at my leisure.

By Saturday, I just needed a serious break from my checklist. I decided to gather my materials, and just make what comes. This is what came:

My first mask!

I'm pretty pleased with it. Overall, I need to start making more time to work from spontaneous inspiration. Today, I worked on earring club subscriptions and more custom orders. I still have to pour one more round of resin for a custom rush order that needs to be mailed posthaste. And then I am going to reward myself with a cup of tea and a piece of chocolate.

Performances coming up: Transcendence is performing on SUNDAY at Druid Hill Park's continuation of Baltimore Pride. I am not sure if I'll get to go to Saturday's festivities, as I might now have to fit all Fathers' Day stuff on Saturday... and Jason and I have three fathers between us. We'll be dancing at DC Tribal Cafe next Sunday.

Other than that, there's nothing especially interesting to report. Had a date night with Jason in Ellicott City... had tapas and then a sublime cappuccino, browsed the Forget Me Not Factory (better known as the Fairy Store) and scouted shops that I might target for retail prospects. I love Ellicott City. It just feels so magical to me. If I'm to stay in Maryland, I would love to live there, but lord knows, it's so expensive. Maybe a request to the Universe is in order.
