J & I were very lazy and slept in quite late this morning. Well, we attempted to get up at a decent time, but then fell asleep again in the living room once we were claimed as cat furniture. Noxman, if he decides he wants to curl up to you, is like instant Ambien. All warm and purring and massive.

So now I'm up and at 'em. Today, I'll be experimenting with a really cool bead cap tutorial I bought yesterday. Given that the post office has been delivering no mail, I have none of the supplies I ordered last week for the next rounds of updates, so I'm trying to make due with what I've got.

J is home from work again. It looks like the bead shop will be closed all week, which may mean I double-time it next week because of the MASSIVE backlog they've got going on. As for the snow, it finally stopped snowing late last night, but emergency conditions are still in effect around here. I mean, the mayor of Baltimore went on tv to urge even hospital staff to stay home until they can clear the roads, it's that bad. Snow plows had to be taken off the roads yesterday due to whiteout conditions. Fire dept roofs are collapsing (last count: 3) and at least one post office. Soooooo, yeah. I am going to try to ship orders tomorrow if emergency conditions around my apartment are lifted.

The funny part? We might get more snow Sunday/Monday. A 50% chance. But at least that gives people a chance to restock and resupply on Saturday.

In less Snowpocalypse-y news, we are rapidly running out of massage oil. It's a crisis! We order from two places: Black Phoenix Trading Post and a small place at MDRF called Blessed Scents. BPTP has the better base oil, but Blessed Scents has a better range of scents that appeal to us. Well, right now, we're nearing empty on four of our five bottles of oil. I've been planning to order some BPTP 'Ignis' oil once the next update goes up... and brainstorming a way to get Villainess's 'Asphyxiate' in massage oil form. I was also thinking I might get a massage oil base and make myself 'Amas' & 'Ishtar' massage oils, because they just smell narcotically good. Anybody else have good massage oil recs? We tend to go more 'sexytime' than 'sleepytime,' though I do keep a lavender / blue palmarosa blend on hand to help with stress and anxiety.
