Last night, I had many drinks at the Curly Red birthday party, and I sang bad, bad karaoke. I'm not a karaoke snob or anything, but karaoke is deceptively hard. For one, the mics are shitty, so when you hold a mic where you should, it doesn't really pick up your sound. For two, you never know what key the song is gonna be in, an it's usually not in the same one you're used to hearing. In fact, it's usually a third to a fifth higher, and that's how you look like a drunken, warbling ass. I did, however, excellently hit the high note in Bohemian Rhapsody, so there. Aaaaanyway.

Snow snow snow. Some of it still on the ground and some of it yet to come. Given that the bead shop apparently closes at the first sign of snow (a fact I learned this weekend when I showed up for chain and no one was there), I may come home early today or go in late tomorrow. I actually have a whole lot on my plate this week, so I wouldn't much mind either.

The most exciting thing is this: I have my wire frames. I have my swarovski rhinestones. I have seven sparkly pigments. I have resin and mixing cups and craft sticks and tissue paper. I have liver of sulfur and clock bits.

I am ready to play with my resin now, plz.

I got ICE resin to start. I've heard really great things about it. It's non-toxic, non water-soluble (whereas some of the other glazes can start to break down when wet or in sticky humidity... and I live in Baltimore), and it won't age or yellow over time. I eventually want to take a class on art resin at MICA, but that will come after soldering.

Lost is back tonight. I'm not really excited in a YAY LOST sort of way, because frankly, watching Lost last season felt like watching the same episode over and over and over again. I've just invested enough damn time into that show that I want to know answers, then I want it off my tv. And also, plz kill Kate. Thanks.

Last, but most importantly:

Happy Birthday, evergleam83!
