So, my choices for costuming when I dance tend to be fairly typical: autumny colors. Copper, greens, reds, oranges, a new saffron yellow.
I want to diversify my wardrobe in the near future. Baby steps-- stuff that will coordinate with a thing or two I already have. Also shorter skirts/wrap skirts for layering over pantaloons for things we're working on that are not necessarily the best idea to do in floor-length/draggy skirts.
I saw this today and I am making serious freaking grabbyhands at it. For one, it's a purple, which is where I think I'm going next colorwise. I already have purple Melodias, for instance. For two, it would match my saffron skirt for ATS-y stuff and renfest. For three, IT IS SHINY. Unfortunately, I need to learn not to give into every SHINY IT IS SO SHINY impulse, especially before all my bills are paid. But a girl can dream, yes?
I am pondering other colors. I don't think that royal blues/light blues would particularly flatter me. Teals work okay, though. I like fuchsia, but can't really see myself wearing bright pinks in performance. Maybe a soft, dusky rose. Plus Flissy has been talking about her adventures crafting a pretty new ivory bra... very tempting, but then again, I am flat out scared of wearing white of any shade because it tends to severely wash me out. I could maybe start small... a hip wrap. Something.

Speaking of dancing, good things are afoot. Flissy and I are working on new stuff that I think will be really cool, and I am going to start working on some solo stuff as well.
