I know that this is on the "womens' voices" tag, but that's only because it's related to conversations that have been happening here and elsewhere that deal with
cereta's post.

I think this is a really great premise for a post, and one that specifically seeks mens' voices. I think that if we women ask for men to respect our discussions as safe spaces, then it is equally important that we honor spaces designed for male voices to discuss things within a safe space, as well.
If you are so inclined, I'd suggest you check it out. But please, please stay on topic, if you know what I mean. If you come from my LJ and participate in derailing, it inadvertantly makes me look bad, so, y'know. Don't. :)

m_w_k, So, let's do this. Let's communicate. The original request wasn't a difficult one. It boiled down to "hey, men, talk about this. care about this. deal with this."
Think that we already do? Awesome. Share your stories. Your tips. Raise the flag of masculinity! Sing the praises of your gender and discuss all the ways in which men confront rape.
Think we don't do enough? Talk about that. Talk about what we could do better. Talk about the misperceptions we need to fight.
Think that talking does nothing and only action counts? Okay. So tell us about your actions. How you engage. What you do. How you think others should take action?
