I'm on J's computer right now. It appears my laptop is dead.
When I turn it on, it goes to the Toshiba boot screen, then to a black screen where it tells me the Windows failed to initiate successfully. Safe mode or regular?
Turns out it doesn't really matter; in either case, it freezes in the middle of the Windows boot screen, then starts over.
Lappy is three years old; I know it needs a new fan and a new battery, but this might be the last straw if it's something like the hard drive.
In the meanwhile, I might be slow to answer emails at night. J leaves his lappy here during the day, but needs it at night. I have to get Photoshop put on here in the meanwhile so I can at least do updates.
GRAH.
