A new year. I celebrated the night with friends-- plus raspberry wine and Too Much Rum. Woke up the next morning (fully clothed, mind) with a stabbing headache. I finally got around to photoediting around 6-- I worked until midnight and I still have 26 pics to go, as well as descriptions to write. Still aiming for 5ish to begin the update, but we'll see. I have work at DDI until about 2 today, so it could get tight.

On the plus, I may have a lead on a new laptop on the cheap. Friend's big shipping kerfluffle could be my gain. But we'll see.

House still smells strongly of smoke. I attempted to get it out by a thorough wipedown and liberal burning of incense-- I think it only masked it. So I'm going to attempt vinegar rinse and also Febreezing all cloth items. I will be bundling up at home and opening the back door-- hopefully, the fresh air will also help.

I will be very happy when all of my work is done today, and I can just sit back and enjoy time with the boy.
