It's 5am, I took a Percocet an hour ago, and I'm in a ridic amount of pain.

I'm gonna guess this is dry socket. This is down to the bone pain. The gap is widening and though I can't see down into it, the ache is consistent with the description. Definitely going to call back in a few hours and bump up my check in appointment. I'm somehow doubting that this is normal.

Fail, body.

Oy. Going back in today to get re-stitched.

Back from the dentist (again). They took my stitches out, then packed my "crater" (their words) with medicated gauze to ease the pain of dry socket. They want me back in on Thursday to switch the gauze out, but after that, I should be fine. So if I'm smilin' a little funny at my performance this weekend, that's why. They also adjusted my Percocet prescription so I'll be taking a lower dosage in conjunction with ibuprofen. Hopefully that means no more nausea.

My dental assistant looked (and sounded) a lot like Tex. I miss Tex. Ah well. All things in time.
