Today, I got a visit from Heather and Aster, and I think it was the magical pumpkin pie filling they brought that helped my Percoset to stay down. We watched Jurassic Park and caught up and my body was eventually coaxed into cooperating with the food I was trying to put into it.

My jaw is swollen, but not nearly so much as I'd expected-- ice and arnica have helped. The thing that's really bothering me are the stitches, which are a mite too long and tickling my gag reflex.

Now, I kick back, relax, and eat some chocolate ice cream until J gets home. I probably will be able to work some tomorrow, which is good because a bunch of checks cleared and I have a lot of shipping to do. Plus I'm giving Abby a basic wirework lesson and having dinner with Anna.

Also! Flowers from Ashley! Ash, I called and left a message on your phone; I hope my number is up to date. But thank you so much for thinking of me. :)

And a note to Mr. Jensen Ackles, re: the last two minutes of this week's Supernatural, which I finally watched this morning... don't do that. It hurts me too much to laugh right now! PS, I love your stupid faaaaace.

ETA: Further evidence that Jason is in fact the best boyfriend ever: he slept with me on the couch last night because I wasn't confident enough to be a full floor away from the bathroom in case I got sick. It was the best snuggle ever.

My parents have confirmed that they really, really like Jason. First of all, they brought him breakfast yesterday morning because they were concerned about his blood sugar. In their words, "we just knew he'd be too concerned about you to eat."

Also, when my mom called to check in this morning, she said, "Christina, we really like that boyfriend of yours" in that specific mom-tone that also means "...so don't screw it up!"

There is one respect in which Jason is NOT the most amazing man ever.

He fails at picking out movies and is such having his movie-selecting privileges suspended until further notice. Planet Terror made me cringe. The Mist made me irate. Shoot 'Em Up got turned off 20 mins in. But tonight, we hit a new low.

You Don't Mess With The Zohan was terrible.
