1. Actually, it might not be my battery. It might be my fan. It's a little drizzly today, so I didn't bring my lappy into work, but tomorrow my coworkers are going to open it up and blow out any dust clogs. It was working later last night after things cooled down... I think installing my A/C unit today will likely help, though I will be getting a chillpad.

2. I am continually amused at my music geekery I was in the car with J yesterday, and it occurred to me just how many songs I instinctively sing the harmony to. Some of my favorite songs, I couldn't sing you the melody if I wanted to. Other songs? Like Counting Crows' "Colorblind"? It took me years to realize that I wasn't infact singing melody. Durr. (Also, J likes my singing voice, and this makes me mushy. I get stupidly nervous about singing in front of people, despite having it be, oh, my major in school.)

3. Aggh. UTERUS. Well, at least it's perfectly timed. And I have chocolate.

4a. I love getting emails from customers telling me how much they love the jewelry they bought from me. It really makes my day.

4b. Jewelry update will likely go live Thursday night. Whee. Hope you like labradorite. Not as many brass bits this time, but I will have a lot for the next go'round.

5. iTunes, man. So dangerous for my wallet.

6. Jazzed for rehearsal tonight. Things are coming together. This weekend's performance is going to be 95% improv, and I'm feeling pretty okay about that.

7. Check out my friend/coworker Dominic's blog. He's chronicling his trip out West in his new veggie-oil powered car. Check out the paint job the guys here did in about three hours this past Friday afternoon.

8. Need a haircut. Been thinking about going to Carlos in Ellicott City, as Brooke and Flissy have both raved about their new, dramatic haircuts. (What salon is he at, guys?) But right now, my ends are fried and splitty; I might need a quick fix trim first. I hate tangly ends.

9a. I've created a new tag, Womens' Voices. I've decided to use it when blogging about ways in which womens' everyday experience differ from mens', in light of my post last week. These posts are by no means meant to be anti-male, though many posts will deal with anger at sexist objectification, degradation, anti-woman and sexualized violence, and gender privilege. I'm going to try to be more diligent in blogging my own experiences, in the hopes it will help foster discussion and help promote understanding.

9b. Speaking of which-- Sunday, in Trader Joe's. A woman walked up to me and said that her husband was a "dirty old man" and wanted me to know that he thought I had a fantastic body. She was very pushy and didn't seem to understand personal space-- I backed up several times and said natural ending the conversation phrases-- even, "have a nice day" as I stepped back-- and she stepped right back into my space. Jason saw it and walked over, then she started asking other questions-- were we engaged, etc. When we finally made a break for it, he turned to me and said, "so, you really weren't kidding about the creepy gender thing, were you?" Also, goes to show you that it isn't always men treating women like their bodies are public property.

Re: LJ Advisory board elections...

Please go vote for someone who's not jameth. I do not want an anti-semitic troll with a massive following of obnoxious asshats as my board representative.

Thanks.
