...started off with a bang. I really thought I broke my computer for a minute there. The monitor settings restarted themselves, my CTRL key got stuck (rendering typing impossible), and then my screen went black.

Fixed, with assists from counterword and zenmaster, to whom I am immensely grateful.

This is me, stepping AWAY from the pretty shiny laptop for the evening. BAH.
