Hello from NYC! I have a few hours to kill while Tex is in his GMAT class, so I'm mostly attempting to amuse and entertain myself. I'm fairly certain that in about an hour or so, I'll be napping with a book over my face. Note to self: you are not allowed to fall asleep until your toenails are both painted and dry. Tonight is the big swanky party thing, and my dress made the trip beautifully-- thank god for anti-wrinkle fabric.

I stayed with my parents last night, and got to meet the evil stepbrother's 4 month old infant who is... just the most adorable baby I've ever seen, honestly. I am not generally a child-friendly person, mostly because I have no idea what to do with them and thus always feel awkward and like I'm vaguely doing something wrong. But this kid was just totally chill and very inquisitive and one day I will thank him immensely for not squalling furiously the moment he was placed in my arms.
