Things that are good:
-- I am all packed and ready to go to NYC! I have my dress, my shoes, my jewelry, deodorant (important!), trashy bus reading... I am ready to rock this.
-- I get to go shopping tonight! Okay, just to get a strapless bra, but still. I've had to be frugal lately to afford budgeted things, and I get to splurge a bit on myself. This is cause for excitement.
-- I am really happy with the way current commissions are coming along.
-- I made some rockin' hair sticks last night.
-- Noxenlux: this site has really interesting hats and hair fascinators.
-- I got to see Yancy yesterday. Brief, but nice nonetheless.
-- Having free Bravo for the past two weeks has made me realize how much I absolutely love Tim Gunn and we should be BFFs.
-- Random browsing for other SPN fen led me to the most hysterically absurd fic I've ever seen last night, and it was the source of much amusement.
-- The video of Flissy and I dancing turned out okay. I now know (visually) what I need to improve on. But overall, I think we looked pretty good for our second outing as a student troupe, and I like the set's energy. Thank you, Bridget!
-- Flissy and I had a good status meeting yesterday evening, and her scimitar is badass.
-- I actually have free time next week. As in, I have not overscheduled myself within an inch of my life. As In I will not be a crazy Tazmanian devil rushing from one place to another next week! This is both a) miraculous and b) very exciting.
-- I got an awesome Giftmas Wishlist Swap package from
liminalia: I especially like the skirts, which will be really useful in costuming. There's a browntone one that will be useful for skirt layering, and a rust/burgundy one that I think I'm going to make panels out of. Thank you, babe!
Which reminds me: please post me a link to your Giftmas Wishlist (if you have one) here! I'm going to start my wish granting next week, and if you're playing, I want to know! Things that are undecided:
-- My hair. I dyed it red last night, and it's way darker than I expected it to be. It's a dark cherry color, as opposed to a brighter true red. I hope it'll lighten up a bit, because the contrast between my hair and my skin is kinda extreme right now. I even look kind of Russian. Yeah, I said it.
Things that are crappy:
-- My desk heater is malfunctioning. Oh noes!
-- My Yahoo mail has been ridiculous. Sending messages multiple times, not sending them at all, timing out, server down... it's just a mess. I think I might start exclusively using Gmail soon.
