Virgo:: The owners of a parts supply store in South Carolina billed the Pentagon $998,798 for sending two 19-cent washers to a Texas army base. Let's install them as your symbolic reminder not to overpay for anything in the coming week, no matter how crucial it may be to your operations. And when I invoke that word "overpay," I'm referring not only to forking over money, but also to giving away your emotional energy, directing your attention, or offering up your help. Make sure that you're getting equal value for your contributions.

...if only I had gotten this horoscope seven months ago. Well. Better late than never, I suppose!

Happy Halloween and Blessed Samhain! In general, I tend to consider Oct. 31st - Nov. 7th to be Samhain season-- I'll be attending ritual this weekend. Today, I'm pretty simply dressed in greens, with my green cloak about me. I figure while my hair is vaguely gold, I might as well be Janet...
What gar’s ye pu’ the rose, Janet?
What gar's ye break the tree?
I’ll come and go by Carterhaugh
And ask me leave of thee.

He’s ta’en her by the milk white hand
And by the grass green sleeve
He’s led her to the fairy ground
And spierd at her nae leave

So... anyone want to meet me at the crossroads at midnight? :)

In other news, troupe practice was challenging yesterday. Flissy is teaching me combos she learned at TribeO's Kassar workshop, and we're going to modify them a bit. That said, the choreographed bits are starting to fall into place. Speaking of troupe, check out the bio that Flissy wrote for us...

Christina and Flissy met at Tribal Improv classes at the Avalon Studio in the summer of 2006. They have since enriched their studies with well respected local and national bellydancers, and in spring of 2007 they formed Verve Tribal to take their dance to the next level. Verve Tribal incorporates both improvisation and choreographed elements to create a funky and contemporary tribal bellydance experience.

Christina moonlights as a wayward bandito, shunned by polite society, while Flissy bides her time living as a lovelorn saloon girl.

Shiny, innit?

ETA: Happy birthday to afoundobject and a very happy wedding day to kebechet and puddin666!!
