Whew. Just did all the shipping labels for all the BPAL auctions. Thank God for Paypal's batch shipping option. Still a lot to keep straight, though. Gotta slap 'em on at home, and out the packages go. It'll be packapalooza.
I had to bump up International shipping a few dollars. I was simply eating up too much expense. The reason is this: If I go to the post office, it's about $5 to send something sloooooowly. For friends, if they're patient, I'm willing to do that. And I certainly will, upon request. They don't need bells and whistles, and I don't need to cover my butt.
Aside from that, the PO is never open when I am not at work, except on Saturdays, and I have been booked solid on weekends. Also, I have no US confirmation other than a receipt that such and such order had postage paid for and was shipped. So. All internationals will now get sent International Priority, which gives me an electronic trail that I did in fact pay for an item to be shipped. It's pricier, but it a) saves me time, b) gets there quicker, and c) helps me cover my tush. International Priority to Canada is about $8, and to everywhere else, $10-12.
Although I got my business cards this morning, and they are cuuuuuuute. Note the abundance of extra vowels there. Cute. I'm really thrilled with the job VistaPrint did.
On the commissions front, the Brisingamen is pretty much done. I need to take pics of it, then send it later this week. Materials are on order for another Nut and one Athena, plus a duplicate of my Shiny Happy People necklace. Materials for a different aspect of Athena will be ordered on Friday, once the order is paid. I'm keeping busy. Hopefully, I can spend the first week back from vacation completing commissions, and then I can start creating pieces to re-fill my shop. I'm down to 6 items!
As a side note, if you wanted something that's currently still listed, now's the time to snag it. I'll be out of town for a week starting Saturday, and from that point until July 8th, no items will be shipped.
