I figured out how to make tribal cowrie hairfalls! Okay, so I VASTLY underestimated the sheer number of cowries I'd need for such a task, but the bottom line is that I can make my own instead of shelling out $100 for a professional set! Unless I want to, that is... check these out!

At any rate, I did a practice set of 2 sets of four, and 4 sets of four, and it looks fine, basically. I could get more cowries, silver embellishment beads, and maybe some peacock feathers, and I'd have something totally acceptable. Now to find somewhere that sells cheap bulk cowries...
