Hello to everyone who's new to my journal. I see lots of new names floating around, and I don't really have personalities to match them with. SO.

If you're new, or a lurker, or whatnot... or even if you're just bored-- I've got a few questions for you!

1. Who are you, where are you from, and what would you prefer to be called?
2. What brought you here?
3. What interests do we share, and what other interests do you have?
4. This space free for any other pertinent info and/or anecdotes.

The weekend is upon us. Mine, compared to weekends past and future, looks relatively tame. I'm hanging with Brandie tonight, then beading. Tomorrow is Flissy's birthday party. Then beading. Sunday is family stuff. All things considered, kind of low-key for me of late. Gratefully. I need some battery recharging and time to play with crafts. I tried to do it earlier this week, but with all the ell-jay drama afoot... I was pretty much just obsessively refreshing the news page.

Shiny shiny-- bidding on tribal costume jewelry. Love eBay. So delightfully cheap. I'm also trying my hand at making a basic headband-- nothing too heavy or kuchi-ed out-- I'm saving that so I can design it around whichever deluxe outfit I end up getting. Right now, I'm split right down the middle between fire engine red and teal. I love both. But this basic headband is ribbon, floofy wool yarn, black hemp, and cowry falls. Potentially a little too thick-- 2"-- but I'll learn and get a thinner base next time. Will post pictures-- of both that and the belt I'm making-- when they're done. Never thought I'd be considering getting a Beadazzler ever again. Heh.

Have also purchased supplies for commissions and necklaces to come. I have almost everything for Eve (all but the apple-- and yes, I know a fig would be better, but I found a really cool apple), pretty much everything for Psyche but the wings for the matching earrings, I've found an amber source for Brisingamen (and might try some wire wrapping, which I've never done), and also purchased the bits for Athena and Pele. Still researching Bast. I think she'll be black agate and gold pearl.

Crafts are eating my brainsss.

In other news, my attempt to eat better is going well. I've been eating a lot of hummus and fresh veggies. Hear that, tummy? You'll be show-offable soon.

Am also considering bellydancing to Bjork for the Kallisti hafla. Must play track for Flissy.
