I feel as though my pervy crush on James Spader is validated. Why? Because I did a Buffy season one marathon today while working on beadstuffs, and there was this little gem in "Welcome to the Hellmouth":
Buffy also has a pervy crush on James Spader, so there.
I've spent a good portion of this weekend making jewelry. A small part of my for sale collection will go up on Wednesday night-- I've got coral necklaces, drilled-shell and beach glass necklaces, more leaf earrings, a goldstone necklace, more dangle earrings, a few wire wrap bracelets and a pair of fish earrings already complete. Look for a sampler of about twenty items on Wednesday night. The plan is to open up an Etsy shop when I get a good digital camera, and that's a few months off, yet. Not to mention that I'm putting about $150 into supplies next week, and I've commissioned a necklace from another seller as well. It's a morpho butterfly wing encased in glass, and I've never seen anything like it. But all in all, I'll likely make a few informal sales on this journal before I officially open an Etsy shop.
I also got to see Don and Noelle this weekend, and briefly Sati and Rick, so that was good. There was much imbibing of alcohol-- I think I covered a bottle of wine all on my own. I think I may be committing sacrilege and switching to white wine-- it's better for warmer weather, and I don't get the dreaded red wine hangover.
Anyway, I'm fresh from the shower and going to get some late dinner. Sky's coming over in a little bit for some BSG-- I'm feeling both domestic and nerdy.
Cordelia: Well, you'll be okay here. If you hang with me and mine, you'll be accepted in no time. Of course, we do have to test your coolness factor. You're from L.A., so you can skip the written, but let's see. Vamp nail polish.
Buffy: Um, over?
Cordelia: So over. James Spader.
Buffy: He needs to call me!
Cordelia: Frappaccinos.
Buffy: Trendy, but tasty.
Cordelia: John Tesh.
Buffy: The Devil.
Cordelia: That was pretty much a gimme, but... you passed!
Buffy: Oh, goody!
