So, I'm putting in two supply orders on the 19th with Fire Mountain Gems and Shipwreck Beads for stuff with which to fulfil a few commissions and also to make a bunch of summery necklaces to sell.

Key words-- shells, baroque pearls, Mediterranean hues threaded with silver and gold delicas. I'm going to do three or four strand twist necklaces from which I can hang pendants of shell or hammered metals. Very island-y. I'm also going to do wavy link necklaces with opalized seafoam green Czech beads and tiny pearls-- I think I'll call them Aphrodite necklaces, and maybe make soft pink and peach ones as well, with gold spiral links. I am excited.

The downside is hemming and hawwing over what I like versus what I need. This is expensive, at least until I start selling things regularly. I like to use real semi-precious stones whenever I can, and that adds up. I've been scouring Etsy for deals on those.

On the plus, I finished my second commissioned piece last night-- 7 strands of chunky matte beach glass-like rocailles in gradiated colors of blue to green, with yellow and green miracle beads in the center. It's about 2" wide-- a very neat cuff-like wire of bangles. Finished off with olive green leaf bead dangles, one on each end.

So. Yeah. Kind of a one-track mind lately.
