1. BPAL of the Day: Squirting Cucumber. The lab says, "Yikes! A spurt of wet, grassy greenness." I say: damn! Spot-on cucumber salad! Like, really. I'm kind of hungry now. Beth is a mad genius, yo.

2. I really liked Battlestar Galactica-- so far I've seen the miniseries and the first episode. I really like Starbuck-- she's what would happen if Shane from The L Word and pre-plastic surgery Angelina Jolie had a blonde kid. And Lee? Hotness. Plus the president is ten kinds of kick ass. I like the show, I think, because like Firefly, the story is about the people, not the gadgetry. And the people? They look real. It's not a gallery of Hollywood cookie-cutter starlets. And while I did see a few of the twists coming, there was one major on that shocked the pants off of me, and that's pretty damn cool. And I just realized that I started almost every sentence in this paragraph with "and."

3. My hair was curly when I woke up this morning. Like-- real Pre-Raphaelite red curls. This is what happens when I don't brush out my wet hair before bed. Sadly, my hairbrush took most of them away.

4. I had five glasses of wine last night, give or take. I'm fairly certain that I'm about 93% sober by now. Some nights, you just have to love a good bottle two bottles of wine. Yes, I am occasionally a total lush.

5. Spring starts tonight! I am wearing blues and greens to encourage the nice weather to stay. I have had enough ice and nastiness. I am ready for some serious sunshine.
