Days like today remind me why, at times, being a woman can be very empowering, and also very much a pain in the ass. This is me, sipping tea and reading up on herbalism while I wait for the ibuprofen to kick in.
Meanwhile, beading has become somewhat of an obsession. My cart at Shipwreck beads is currently sitting pretty at $130. I'm selling off lots of unworn BPAL to be able to place the order, and I've got about $40 to go. Not to mention the $25 I'll be spending at Rings and Things, because they have little glass jars with screw-on tops for oil pendants that I'm going to be making for some of my friends. At any rate, I've got my eye on lock and key charms, rainbow moonstone, 6mm rounds in an array of olive greens, lots of 10/0 seed beads, hematite and bloodstone, crackle glass, findings, and string. It's all so... shiny. And last night, I made my first pair of earrings-- dangles with aqua fiber optic beads and shell-washed stone. I'm pretty proud-- they're very cute.
And I got a cute package from
nalathilion-- a miniature book of quotes by Oscar Wilde, a Skindazzles tart, a little Goddess-y book, a letter. Cherie is so cute.
Okay. Long day ahead, but a good one. Agnes is having her birthday at a skating rink. I can't skate. This is about to be Bambi on Skates, let me tell you. Well, at least I can laugh at myself. Now, if I could only get myself out of my pajamas. Ibuprofen, do your thing.
