At least the morning went by quickly enough. That's partially because I spent most of it in the back, packing an 84-pair order. Sara, my co-worker, who handles most of the on-site pick & pack (local orders, backorders, international orders), is in California righting problems in our Oakland warehouse, and as such, I'm holding down the fort here at the office. While she can do most of her stuff from the road, I'll be handling calls and pick & pack for the week, in addition to continuing the backlog cleanup, and current A/R. This week's to-do list is very scattered, as it's a mix of daily business and cleaning up prior issues. This is fascinating, I know. At least the variety keeps me from falling asleep, head-to-keyboard.

I have found that the quickest way to endear myself to others in the workplace is to consistently bring in chocolate. Pass the seratonin around. Have also been dubbed "the chocolate fairy."

I watched Sleepy Hollow last night. It's a Halloween tradition for me. I love the atmosphere it evokes, even if the story ultimately provokes more giggles than scares. Tonight is pumpkin carving, and tomorrow, Skyler and I are going on a Gettysburg ghostwalk. It's strange that I hadn't been feeling particularly Halloweeny of late, especially since it's my favorite holiday. And now I'm all about it.

I think I'm officially a Lost fan. I'm now having Lost dreams of the... erm, special nature. At first, it was just Hurley randomly popping up in a dream, saying, "dude." But now? Why was I humping Henry Ian Cusick, exactly? Not that I should complain. It's the accent, I swear it's the accent. Oh, okay, I admit it. He's not much to look at in pictures, but when he's acting? Sexy. I need a Desmond icon.

Good thoughts sent my mother's way for the next four hours would be very much appreciated. I'm trying to be all lighthearted and not worry, but I really am pretty worried about her right now. Anyway, good thoughts appreciated, like I said. My closest friends already know, but I'll talk about it when I know more details.

Anyway, I need to get more Gaelic Storm albums. As much as I like Special Reserve, listening to it on loop gets a bit much. Have switched to Johnny Cash. How's that for a mood change?
