Aside from that-- as you could probably see by the pics, faire was a blast. Seeing the Baebes up close was something of a nirvana experience for me-- I've been a huge fan for years now, and I dorkily sang along in the front row. I can't wait to watch the DVD, because Tam Lin's on there. Agh. And did I mention the girlcrush? 'Cause whoa. Next up, buying Celtic Legend's new CD.

tamnonlinear / Abby goes to a week-long party every year called OTP (One True Party), and a bunch of her OTP friends came out. I got to meet reedrover and her husband, achaosofkittens, plus tyratae and whale_girl, and I got to see burny_md and teky4lf again, which was nice. Did I mention that they're a friendly group? Because really, a girl could get used to it, mmhmm. By the end of the day, I had enough flowers that my cleavage was practically a vase, and I had to relocate the roses to my hair. I also ran into old_swordsman and musicwolf... and apparently carmelonia, although I didn't know it at the time.
I'm going to try to make it to faire one more time before it closes, with will either be next Sunday or closing Saturday. I'm giving sincere thought to being a full-scale Rennie next year and really getting into it. It's just such a fun atmosphere, and I want to get to know the people more. I realize that I've only seen the tip of the iceberg, but I'm interested in getting more involved. Count me in for at least the Fairever pass next year. Which means I need more garb. I'm thinking a green Tudor bodice and a plaid skirt. I really also want the Khadija stuff from Moresca, but whoa with the pricey. I think it would look really good on me, but $250 is a lot for an outfit! I suppose I could save up for next season, if anything!
Tonight, Agnes and I are doing a hang-out, and tomorrow, Anna and I have one-on-one time scheduled-- for the first time since her return from Germany. Thursday, I have an interview, and I'm kind of nervous about that. And, of course, bellydance. Friday, I am definitely going swing dancing. Agh, so much. But in a good way, you know? Things are looking up, and people who love to distract me are always welcome.
And also, I got two wonderful packages this weekend. The one fromlm was like Trick-Or-Treat in a box. :) Lots of candy, and kinky postcards, and a gorgeous letter, plus the coolest little mini-taper spell candles for my altar. The one from thesecondcircle was tea and chocolate and resiny goodness. Thank you so much, you two. I'm going to store them in the beautiful box that nalathilion gave me for my birthday. :)
