Monday, Monday. Not much to say. The weekend was spent chilling out around the house making Morrocan Mint iced tea, visiting my family, and hanging out down in College Park. It was relaxing and slow-- good, considering in the week ahead, I am busy every single night except for tonight.
I'm going to dye my hair and work on those letters & postcards for that meme thing. It's planning to storm again, which should be appropriately atmospheric. We've had terrible storms in the area lately-- last night, the sky was perpetually illuminated with phosphorescent purple flashes. I have to say, I love when it storms. As a kid, I loved it when the power went out, because I'd stay up late reading by flashlight.
My body is so full of herbs right now. The UTI Clear is due to arrive by tomorrow, but in the meanwhile, I've been cocktailing cranberry, garlic, and acidophilus. Good for what ails ya-- or at least, good for preventing what might ail ya, if you're female and in a very humid climate. My second acupuncture treatment is scheduled for Wednesday-- I did notice a difference. I'm not nearly as tender and achy. And the next morning, I could really feel the toxins come out of my system. They're not completely gone, but hopefully if I keep up on my herbs and such, I'll avoid a hospital visit.
Litha passed quite quietly for me. Agnes asked if I did anything special, and I have to admit, I really didn't. The equinox/solstice holidays for me are really more about just marking seasonal changes. I go on more walks, I dally more out of doors. To me, just taking more time to observe and acknowledge nature does far more for me than a ritual. In honesty, the only two holidays I tend to mark with any formal ritual are Beltane and Samhain. That might change if or when I join a coven/working group, but for now, that works the best for me.
Mmmm. I'm ready for the workday to be over so my real work can begin.
