Virgo:: Did you ever get one of those spam emails informing you that you've won the lottery in the Netherlands or that your government is trying to locate you in order to give you the assets of a distant relative who died and left you an inheritance? In the coming week, you should be alert for messages that contain authentic versions of those phony come-ons. According to my reading of the astrological omens, you have become eligible for benefits you don't know about or have barely guessed the existence of.
Sweet. Let's hope one of those 'benefits' is a huge, unexpected chunk of change-- enough to pay off my student loans, get a car, and maybe jet to Greece for a month. Or maybe it's just the gift of dangling participle.

1. First and foremost, Friday Night Swing tonight at the Towson Armory. As always, the lesson starts at 8, the dance starts at 9. It's First Friday, which means it's big band night. If you think you might have fun-- well, you probably will, so you should come. I'll be there in my teal dress of prettiness.

2. I have a long, but fun weekend ahead of me. Dancing, driving (I'm getting on the road!), traveling to DC for afternoon tea. I'll likely be exhausted come Monday morning, but at least I'll have spent my time happily.

3. Payday, how do I love thee, let me count the ways. I paid my bills this morning, and saw that I had a little more than I expected left over. I placed a little order with Fantasy Bath to re-stock my bath cabinet. It's worth it-- richly scented baths are cheaper than therapy. Add that to the pending Lush order, and I think I'm set for a few months. ( What I ordered.Collapse )

4. Is it 6:00 yet? Seriously. Is it? Because today is a day I just might choke a bitch.

5. I wonder if there's any way to change the "current mood" field to "current scent." I think my scent is fairly descriptive of my mood, and probably more interesting. (BPAL's Pumpkin Patch-- pumpkin and spice, by the way.)

6. The most disturbing thing I've seen this week: V/Snape slash. This narrowly beats V/Phantom of the Opera slash. Why, people? Why??

7. The funniest thing I've seen this week: TBS-endorsed Hobbit Slash. And the ensuing Fandom Wank discussion, which includes a fascinating tangent about ancient Greek slash and how Homer totally fangirled Patroclus, who was, by the way, totally on top. ("Cousins! Cousins! We're totally cousins!")
