What are the chances that the two most recent people I added to my LJ friendslist happen to be people whose books are on my to-read list? In both cases, I followed links from conversations in friends' journals, really liked what they had to say, and decided to friend them. I clicked on the profile page, and lo and behold-- familiar names. Once was interesting. Twice borders on synergistic.

I learned a few more salsa moves tonight. Skyler was teaching basic swing at Towson's dance club, and I tagged along. As it turns out, salsa was the other dance being demoed. I'm feeling a little more secure with the basic now that I've gotten the feel of it more in my hips, in my movements. I like Latin dance more than I expected-- much more than the foxtrot, at any rate, which I maintain is the most boring dance this side of the country waltz. I'm definitely looking forward to the big band swing dance this Friday.

Okay, going to bed. I cannot brain, I have the dumb. Sleeping now.

I'm having one of those blech days. I'd rather be outside, soaking up the thin winter sunshine. Instead, I'm sitting inside with a small pressure headache and an extreme case of the blahs. Almost all of my work for the day is done, and my boss is on vacation for the rest of the week. I think I may just slip out an hour early so I have a little light to walk home by.

Tonight is going to be low-key. I could use a nice backrub with some heated oil, but I'm going to settle for a hot bath before my roommate gets home. Then I'm going to make myself some hot cocoa before settling in to burn my mixed cds. I have a cover in mind, but I don't know if I have access to a decent-quality color printer. Hmm. Then, I'm going to go into full comfort mode with PJs and curl up with a book until I pass out. It's just one of those glum days. Even my fun purple tie can't perk me up today.
