Tea!
I've been in serious tea mode as of late. My staple has been a really nice jasmine tea blend, but I'm almost out. It's time to re-order.

The newest thing I absolutely must try? Flowering display teas. You put the little bud in the hot water and watch it unfurl into a beautiful flower before you drink your tea. Can you imagine? How magical. I can think of wonderful ways to use this ritually. With a set of glass cups, this would be absolutely unbelievable.

So far, I've been pointed in the direction of Harney & Sons, and I've really liked the few blends that I've tried previously. The Hot Cinnamon Sunset tea tastes a little like candy red-hots, and the chamomile and lavender tea that Rac bought me for giftmas is really good right before bedtime. The thing I really like about Harney & Sons is that you can get a lot of their best teas in these beautiful little silken sachets, and they're not ridiculously expensive. It's a nice little luxury touch. Blends I'm eyeing: Supreme Breakfast, Ceylon & Indian, East Frisian, Eight at the Fort, Valentine's Blend, Dragon Pearl Jasmine, Jasmine Fairy Maidens flowering tea, Brew Your Own Chai.

Lots of people also like Adagio Tea, and I've had samples given to me here and there. Some of these white teas look really nice-- just about the only time I'll ever do fruity teas is if it's a white tea. And watch me drool over all the different jasmine blends. Also, most of these come in sample size, which is really cool. Blends I'm eyeing: White Pear, White Tropics, Oriental Spice, Jasmine #12, Golden Needle, Flowering Jasmine.

And then there's Numi Tea, an organic company. The key draw here is the variety of flowering teas available, and the organic quality. Blends I'm eyeing: Dragon Lily flowering tea, Black Beauty flowering tea, Flowering Jewel flowering tea, Numi's Bouquet flowering tea, Golden Chai, Chinese Breakfast, Iron Goddess of Mercy, Water Sprite Ginger Oolong, Oriental Beauty, teahouse glass teapot.

Of course, there's also Tealuxe, whose Pear and Pomegranate blend I fell in love with. They've got a really nice selection of unique dessert teas and flavored sugar cubes. It's also really nicely priced. Blends I'm eyeing: Peach Apricot Cocktail, Pumpkin Spice Chai, Highland Chai, Caramel Creme Brulee, Creme de la Earl Grey, China White Peach, Irish Breakfast, Spicy Chai, Gingerbread.
