Wednesday. Payday! Yay! Not poor.
And it's snowing- big, fluffy snowflakes spiralling softly to the ground.
The induction ceremony went well, and if I don't mind saying so, I think that Heather and I were two of the most interesting readers. It's just that over half of the inductees read scholarly works, and who wants to hear a paper read outside of class? There was one guy who wrote his thesis on Liberty-- I wrote that paper last year, too. And it was boring when I wrote it. There were a couple good poems, though, to break up the monotony.
My parents were in a freakishly good mood. They brought me a gigantic bouquet of flowers- purple mums and candy-colored carnations and eucalyptus and a few giant orange lilies. They brought Heather flowers, too. And they were chatty. Should I be worried??
Also? They want me to come home early Saturday morning because Adrian and I will be working together on something. They told me to bring sturdy workboots and clothes that I can get dirty and thick gloves. Do you think they've finally decided to send me to work camp? I think I should be worried.
Okay. Chai, check. Danish, check. Notes, check. I'm going to go kick this midterm's ass.
ETA: Midterm's ass soundly kicked. Two to go.
