I had an eventful weekend, so say the least. As per the friendslocked post, I went to Annapolis with the girls for Rac's birthday, and there was a goodly amount of tequila. Strangely, I can handle quite a bit of tequila, but not so much vodka. The only times I can remember having a hangover was after a night of imbibing vodka. So, I think I have a hard liquor standby.
Sunday morning,
_titania_ (Rac) and
roxyoi301 (Ashley) went shopping downtown in Annapolis, after a big breakfast buffet with the world's best mini-Belgian waffles. As it turns out, after feeling like no dress in the entire world would flatter my frame while accomodating my enormous boobage, I finally found a very nice dress-- it's a strapless cocktail dress that's got a black lace layer over an ecru slip, and it falls right below my knee. I splurged and picked up a pair of 40's-ish black pumps to go with it, and they'll totally work with the pinup-girl look once I exchange my DangerDame dress. So-- one stress is out of the way. Also, I forgot how much fun shopping with girls can be.
Sunday evening, Skyler picked me up, having safely returned from California. He'd brought me back presents-- he visited the Lush store in San Francisco and brought back a You Snap The Whip body bar, an Amazonian massage bar, and a Buffy the Backside Slayer bar. Even better than this, he bought Lush products for himself. Yes, that's right. The boy's starting to use Lush all by himself, after I've tested Villainess soap and BPAL oils on him. He got a chocolate Whipstick and some Tea Tree Simplex balms for himself, and he said the SAs at the store followed him around, fawning. A straight guy who likes Lush. Wonders never cease. (I always did like my men just a smidge effeminate.)
We spent yesterday lazing about and making brunch (pancakes went considerably better on the second try). We watched The Mummy because I've definitively decided that Rachel Weisz is hot. I came home to a mountain of tiny packages-- BPAL swaps plus a first draft of a friend's novel for editing.
I was excited that my swap of the incredibly effective, but also incredibly rare Twilight Alchemy Lab oil, Nine Muses (for inspiration and creativity), came safely to me. That, and I finally got a BPAL click-n-ship. I'm not sure if it's for my 6/2 order or my 6/22 order, but either way, I'll be happy. Maybe I'll really luck out and get a combined order.
Work work work, back to work. Tonight, I plan to write, do some editing, and clean my room.
17flyingfish, when do you want to hand off the book?
(PS--
belladonnastrap, I'll have your letter and that decant of my CT2 mailed by tomorrow-- did those TAL oils come in with your last order?)
