Today is going to suck big fat monkey balls.

I have 5 hours of sleep under my belt. I would've had six, but weird crazy stress dreams kept me awake. I have to plan a presentation in the next hour and print it off. Sit in a room for two hours and try not to fall asleep while waiting for my turn to go before Dr. Mary's firing squad. From that point on, I have three hours to finish my french novel. I'm pretty far along, though, so if I'm in sorry ass shape, I could take an hourlong nap. After an oral interrogation, I have three hours to study for a terrifying 18th century French lit exam, the biggest, baddest exam I have. It will last until 9:30, I'm sure. Then, if I figure in a half-hour to eat dinner, I'll have exactly four hours to write a ten page term paper, for which I only have half the sources necessary. I'm planning to be in bed at 2am, since I have to be at work around 8:30am tomorrow. And in my spare time, I have to memorize one of tomorrow's Jury pieces. I hope I'm in bed by 2am. Much later than that, and I'll be late to work, and Kyle's head will explode.

Okay. Poptart and planning paper. Check.
By 4:30 tomorrow afternoon, this will be over. Then I can nap until I'm on duty.

So, I just had my first final-- a scaryscary presentation for Dr. Mary. I'm fairly certain that I'm getting a B+ in her class. It's not an A, but for a Dr. Mary class, it's definately passable. But anyway.

I stopped by my mailbox.

faerishimmer sent a gorgeous glittery card and the cutest little vintage-looking hairpin. I also got a card from transtempts with a sweet holiday message. Thank you so much!

And I also got one of those "You Have A Package!" things. Well, this package was practically bigger than me.
Karyn. Karyn, I started crying, I swear it. You are ridiculous. RIDICULOUS! There was a treasure trove of imps, straight off my wishlist. And Bliss is... it's indescribable. I'm actually swapping for an imp of it for a gifty thing, and having smelled it, I would have been stingy and kept it for myself. Of others I sniffed, Nosferatu, Hunter Moon, & Morgause seem divine. And there were a few DarkCandles and a gorgeous long letter. But-- to further our correspondance-- she also sent two scented inks in Red Apple & Pomegranate and Moonlight & Roses, plus a stack of parchment. I will be writing up a storm over break. Karyn. It's unbelievable. You are unbelievable. Thank you so so so much for your generosity. I want to be like you when you grow up. Because you put so much thought into everything you do.

...now for studying.

Jesus. My little brother and sister were just in a really bad car accident on the way to school this morning. My brother is a very careful driver, so he was going 20 mph on a one-lane drive when a speeding white truck came barrelling towards them. My brother swereved to avoid the truck, which then collided with the passenger-side door, cracking it in half. The impact knocked them into a few trees until they were stopped by wrapping around a telephone pole. Miraculously, they're both okay. Matt's dazed and in a bit of shock. Andrea, thank God, I swear it, was lucky enough to have been sitting in the back seat. Had she been in the front seat, I'd be at a hospital right how. She hit her head, but looks to be fine.

The truck sped away. It didn't even stop. There was one witness, but the truck was going so fast that they couldn't get a license plate.

ETA:: Matt was so in shock that he picked up his cell, called my mom, and simply said "The car won't start." He neglected to notice that there was glass everywhere from the windows being blown in. Also? My parents took them to the closest medical facility-- when they got there, they were turned away, as apparently MediaCare Health Centers don't "do car accidents." The FUCK???? Assholes!

Thank you all for well wishes on behalf of my siblings. They were checked out by Dr. William DeVoe, one of the best docs in the state of MD (he used to run the pediatric ward at St. Joseph's and was my doc until I was 18). No internal bleeding, no concussions to speak of. Although they will be under a very strict watch.

My French oral (doesn't that sound dirty) went well, as did the presentation. The French written took me 2 1/2 hours of braintwisty fun as I forgot simple words as I tried to describe Rousseau's preoccupation with nature.

And I now have a 10 pager to write before bedtime. With half the sources necessary. Oy. In essence, I'll be getting something like 4 hours of sleep, then I have 8 hours at the bookstore tomorrow and a voice jury for which I still haven't completely memorized my rep. At 4:30, Rac and I need to do some last-minute shopping, then-- naptime. Hardcore. But! I have to write my LJSanta thingy tomorrow night, too. But tomorrow night, when my head hits the pillow and I don't have to be up until 11:30am on Friday? Victory will be mine.

Until then, you're stuck with a grumpy bitch. A grumpy bitch who is not mercilessly mocking Titanic with the rest of the redheads downstairs. Woe.
