Updating from Mike's.

I'm getting breakfast in bed. Lucky me.

The plans for today: stop by my mom's to drop off gifts, go to Baltimore Pride, go grocery shopping, sleep at a reasonable time. I have work early tomorrow - Kyle gave me 12 extra hour next week.

I went to my Uncle J.P.'s 50th birthday bash last night. It was lovely-- Mike and I took a walk around my old middle school and watched the fireflies spark across the empty ballfields. He kissed me behind the building, fulfilling a fantasy I'd had since 7th grade when I longingly watched Tommy Pierce from across the cafeteria.

My family is well- my father did not wallow in self-pity as is his usual mood, and my grandfather proved to be more active than most people half his age (he has a special soft spot for the Electric Slide). Mike and I will be taking him out to dinner soon, maybe asking if he can perhaps help us find somewhere affordable to live in the city once I graduate (he used to own lots of real estate, so he should have some connections).

Okay... breakfast has arrived.

So, bailunrui and I were supposed to meet up at Pride today. Through a series of "god, I'm an idiot" technological gaffes, such did not happen. Fear not, gentle readers, for next week, we shall be meeting for a movie.

Interesting thing? At one point, we were separated only by a mere pane of glass. And we still missed each other.

I'm going to have dinner, then suck on some ice. I got pelted with candy and it split my lip. Ow with the bleeding and stuff. Thinking it might be bad manners to beat someone up at a gay pride event, Mike got me a napkin instead, and we left early-ish.
