Long evening of computer issues. My computer first downloaded some spyware that no matter how many times I deleted it, it kept replacing my homepage with a filthy one and adding gross links to my favorite folders. I looked online, and it said that this thing is often teh work of a trojan. So... after running Ad Aware, spybot, and CWshredder, that issue seems to be fixed. However, whenever I try to scan my computer for viruses, IE completely freezes. This happened to Rac's computer a while back, so it's probably a fun side-effect of the trojan.

So I tried to run Trend Micro's virus scanner with Mozilla, but it keeps mistaking Mozilla for Netscape. So I decided, what the hell. I'll d/l Netscape and uninstall it when I'm done. Well. It d/led fine. Installing is another thing. It freezes halfway through.


I don't know what to do. Mike's coming up with some anti-virus program, but still. Why do the computer gods hate me so??

Oh god. Now it's randomly highlighting things like "computer" and "spybot" to make them links... like "goto: computer"... even in this entry. What the hell does that mean??
