-I have a rediculous amount of work due in the next week: an annotated bibliography, a presentation, a unit test worth about 30% of my grade, a 7-10 page paper. I will live in the library over the next week.
-I want a Mike-shaped pillow heated to 98.8 degrees to keep in my bed, and I don't have one.
-The ceremony last night was a bust. I was given the wrong date, and chances are, I'll be on duty for the actual ceremony. So I'll try to focus on next month.
-A friend of Mike's & mine was in a pretty nasty car accident this weekend- his car flipped end over end and was pretty totaled. However, he's okay-- he got out with just some back and leg pain. I'm still marvelling over that.
-I procured a few addresses for letters I'm sending out this week. However, one of the recipients might shred it befrore opening it.
-I need to spend $30 on a backup battery for my computer and also buy a new power strip with a surge protector.
The Good:
-I'm feeling better. My throat's still a little funky, and I have a near-constant headache and ear pressure, but on the whole, I'm doing much better.
-I have a plate of double-chocolate Ghiradelli brownies. And cherry pie. Plus I'm making chicken and dumplings for dinner. At some point, I'm gonna have to be a bit more careful if I don't want to have thunder thighs for the summer.
-I saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind last night and liked it well enough. It was interesting and well-executed. I just wish I'd been more mentally alert.
-I had pad Thai noodles for dinner last night, and they were great.
-Mike loved the recording, and we had a lovely dinner together.
-I should get my computer back soon! I'm thinking maybe Thursday night, after all of my work is handed in. Then- layout. Icons. Happy, shiny Christina.
-Cherry Blossom Festival in DC this Saturday!! Woot. May it not rain. girlfromsouth, you went-- how was it?
-I'm going to treat myself to two CDs when I get paid-- The Prayer Cycle by Johnathan Elias, featuring Alanis Morisette, and The Mirror Pool by Lisa Gerrard. Good ritual and relaxation music. I've also earmarked a few other CDs by the Mediaeval Baebes and Faith and the Muse, so I can buy a few more next month.
