I was home last week, yeah?

Last Tuesday morning, I heard my mother leave to drop off the siblings at 6:30 am. 7:30 am, the puppy starts barking like crazy. Max can be an annoying little bastard, so I just roll over. My mom comes back at 7:30, and all is well.

Last Wednesday morning, I woke up at Anna's. My mother, upon returning from work, found that our basement door was wide open. She figures my stepfather left it open.

I left for school on Sunday.

Monday night, the neighbor's dogs start barking like crazy, to the point it wakes my mother up. The motion-detector lights are on, but she doesn't see anyone. Also Monday evening, my 14 year old sister, who is a very light sleeper, wakes up because she thinks my stepfather is calling to her. He wasn't.

Tuesday day, my mom comes home to find a table from our porch set up in front of her bedroom window, as if someone very short were trying to peer in. There is also a chair set outside the dining room window in the back yard. No glass is broken, and nothing is stolen.

So, Tuesday, before bed, my mother double-checks all the windows and doors. My sister's window is up three-inches, having stopped at the safety latch. The screen has been completely cut out with a razor.

Someone has been trying to break into my house. In fact, they may have been in the house. And nothing was stolen. I am creeped beyond belief.

Another creepy thing related to my last post?

When I was a baby, we lived in a rowhouse in Baltimore City. My parents came home one night, and nearly everything was gone. TV, appliances, even my stuffed Garfield toy.

As an invesigation turned up, there had been a man living in our basement. No, not kidding. This sick bastard had created a facade wall to blend in with our natural brick where he could sneak in and out undetected. You see, our basement was only storage at the time. As it turns out, it was a former owner's son. They arrested him later on other charges, but my parents never got their stuff back.

And for those concerned: my parents did call the police. And they're doing everything to upgrade security. Thanks for the concern. :)

So, while I was typing my last entry, Colby snuck up on me randomly. When he went "boo," I turned swinging. Instinct when I'm on edge and stressed, I guess. I turned bright red and apologized. Thank God I didn't whack him one. I had a male friend in high school who snuck up behind me and put his forearm over my throat to spook me. I flipped him over my shoulder. Adrenaline. Luckily, he'd also had training and landed in a way that didn't injure him.

I forsee herbal tea in my immediate future.

So, I recorded the song for Mike today.

I don't know wether to be disappointed or wether I'm being far too self-critical.

It's- very high. Singing a G above staff in NotOpera!Voice is very hard. And it inevitably sounds operalike coming from me. That's so not what I was going for. I hope I wasn't too sharp.

The second take was better, but I was really off on one note as a result of a piano harmony being off. So that might be scrapped.

Doc Caldwell is going to run it through his processor this weekend and make it sound a little more professional. Then I'll give it another listen.

I wish I'd had the music for a lower key. Just a third lower. Belting range.

Edit:: Oh, good fucking job, Christina. You can't remember goddamn filters and now the surprise is foiled. So even if it sucks, I still have to give it to him, now. GRRRRRRRGH.

RETARD.

Edit 2: de-friendslocked.
