Fred Phelps has been dealt a smackdown. He will not be allowed to erect his homophobic, hateful statue in Casper, Wyoming. Also, the council was awfully clever in how they dealt with this. :)

One of my favorite quotes from this article was from Pastor Milo Miller, here:

"As I look at Phelps' life, I don't see love as his personal agenda. He disguises his real agenda under the cloak of Christ."

Amen.

Hmmm.

I was thinking about these phone post things. After hearing kushandkismet's (her voice is poetry), I want to do one, but left to my own devices, I'm probably going to ramble and say "ummm" a lot. I mean, I can't leave a simple voice message for my residents without starting over about three times.

So. I was thinking I might read a few poems that I've written. Right now, I have ten completed and two more to go for my class. I think I might edit and post nine or so next week. Then I could have a corresponding phone post where I read three of them. I have a few that simply sound better when spoken.

So. It's an interesting way to have a poetry reading. :)

In other news, my RA review session with my boss went over much better than planned. I think I'm my own worst critic.

And now it's time for duty rounds. Grr. Arrgh.
