Dear Vanessa Carlton,
Do shut up.
Regards,
Christina
"I'm singing about suicide, insomnia and paranoia," Carlton says about the album, which isn't due until next year. "There's nothing piano recital-y about it. It's goth."
Asked to explain, Carlton answers with a question of her own: "Do you know what Wicca is? I believe in like spells and stuff like that. The Wicca in me has come out. It's very dark subject matter, but the approach to recording is very rhythmic and raw, it ends up being very spontaneous and more human."Since when is Wicca 'dark subject matter?' Wicca, especially modern Neo-Wicca (one of the most practiced variants) is a fairly light/healing based path. *tears hair out*
Repeat it with me, children. Goth is not Wicca (and for that matter, not all goths are suicidal and paranoid). Wicca is not Satanism. Wicca is an *earth-centric religion!*

Edit: I feel my inner WICCA coming out. I must, because I feel like running around naked. Hey!!11!! Let's have orgies in the name of religion!!1111!!
That
is what Wicca's about after all, right? Right??
:P
