Toni, sorry I didn't get to the Pour House. I thought I had plans, and then... I didn't. And by the time I knew, it was too late to walk down. But I'll be at the one @ Little Baker chapel here on campus from 7-9pm on Sat, Oct. 11.

I watched Highlander on tv, though. Because I'm pathetic. Or actually, Westminster is fairly dangerous and there's nowhere within safe walking distance to go. There's nothing more enormously funny than a B-list French actor pretending to be Scottish. 'Cept maybe the "villain." And dude, Christopher Lambert creeps me out.

I did make my first batch of soaps, though. They smell a tad funky. I think it's just that the soap hasn't set yet, plus I bought the cheapie components for my first batch. Still a few turned out really well, like my rose and orange bar with hyssop and damiana and the lilac glitter bar I made with lavendar essential oil and lavendar flowers. I think the soaps that I send out for the holidays will be opaque and avocado-based. Soy would be fun, too.

Anyway, I'm going to bed. I have a vocal rep class in the morning, and then I might catch up on mail. G'night, all.

Mmm, hot chocolate is divine on chilly mornings. I'm going to go shower, test out my rose and orange soap. It's a really pretty color-- I added gold pigment and two drops of wine-colored soap dye so it's a nice gilded rose color, with just a hint of glitter to make it shimmer. My lavendar bar turned out so nicely that I want to make another to try out-- this one's just too pretty. :)
