I'm back on campus. My apartment, while not nearly glamorous, is quite nice, and I like my room a lot. It catches the morning light quite nicely, and I've strung white lights all along the ceiling. One of the first things I did was to set up my altar, and my chalice fits in perfectly. It's currently being purified in lavendar and sea salt, though, so I doubt I'll use it until Mabon. I also smudged the place thoroughly with white sage upon arrival (prompting Mike to ask "what is that butt-ass stank?"), so Heather, while I can't do much about residual Jackie-ick, the place is at least cleansed of stagnant negativity.
Speaking of witchy stuff, Mike asked if he could be a part of one of my rituals. My atheist boyfriend. So I was considering doing an open Yule ritual for my friends, where everybody brings and incorporates something from their religion/family traditions. Other than that, does anyone have any suggestions on how I can incorporate a non-pagan into my solitary rituals?
My room is about half unpacked. The floor is completely a mess, but that should be fixed by tomorrow, and I should also have internet access by tomorrow night (I'm in the library now). I'm excited because I'm ITCHING to switch LJ layouts and icons and such.
Tomorrow is also the ropes course section of training, so if it doesn't rain, I'll be climbing trees and such. Hopefully I'll be able to get off a few shots with my camera. Thursday to Friday is camping, so I'm getting all at one with nature, aren't I?
Anyway, I have to go get lunch and turn in the Ethernet application and such. Hopefully I'll be updating from my room by tomorrow night.
